Grade Four
March 1, 2010
Our next Home Reading Assignment is based upon a Biography or Autobiography genre book and is due on the 25th (Thurs.). Students need to bring their books to class so they can do their assignment. The assignment for the next month will handed out then.
We are continuing to work on division with remainders.
Dates to remember:
Tues., March 2nd: Boeing Track and Field Elementary Meet at the Max Bell Center (U of MB). All Grade Fours will compete in three events - 8 x 40m Shuttle Relay, 4 x 100m Relay, and four person Long Jump Relay. Students should be at the school by 8:45 a.m. so they can change into gym clothes before boarding the bus at 9:00 p.m. The meet starts at 9:30 a.m. We expect to be back at school for the afternoon.
Thurs. March 4th: Student - led portfolio sharing. Please submit your time requests today for Thursday evening. Confirmaton of time slips will go home today.
No school Friday (the 5th) and Monday will be Day 3. For microwave purposes, it is not our day as we are even days only. Thank you for continuing to respect our schedule as we share the microwave with Grades One and Three.
Wed., March 17th will be our Lenten Mass. Please join us at 9:30 a.m. at the Church.
Tues. March 23rd will be Hot Dog Day and early dismissal.
Fri., March 26th: Report cards go home.
No school from March 29th to April 6th. No school on Easter Monday. Our return on Tuesday, April 6th will be a Day 1.
