Bike-A-Thon Info...
- Each May, the students and families of St. Emile participate in the Bike-A-Thon. The Bike-A-Thon is St. Emile School's biggest fundraiser of the year! Students are encouraged to collect pledges (money) from family members, neighbours and friends in order to raise money for the enhancement of programs here at St. Emile. The Bike-A-Thon is similar to a large community barbeque/picnic where the students and their families have a day of outdoor fun at St. Vital Park. Parents and students bring their bikes and meet at St. Vital Park at 8:30a.m. The morning begins with a community faith celebration with the Bike-A-Thon to follow. All Pre-K students are asked to attend the Bike-A-Thon, but they must be with a parent or adult supervisor. All monies raised should be turned into Miss. S. as soon as possible. Late pledges are also accepted.
News of Note...
- ***IMPORTANT: Recently, one of our students tested positive for a nut allergy. We ask all parents to be extra cautious when packing your child's snack. Please note, items labelled "may contain traces of..." can still be very dangerous to children who have allergies.***
- Students at St. Emile are required to wear school uniforms in beginning in kindergarten. Uniform fitting was earlier this month, however you may also order by mail, fax, email or online at www.topmarks.ca. Our school code is EM101. A brochure from Top Marks, our uniform supplier, was sent home last week. Order are due June 30th to ensure that your child has their uniform for September.
Important Reminders...
- There are NO OUTDOOR SHOES permitted in the gym. Please make sure that both parents and students are removing their shoes before entering the gym.
- Library is on Day 5 of the school day cycle. Books need to be returned before others can be taken.
