Additional Programs Offered
Before and After School Program
The Before and After School Program was created to accommodate parents with tight schedules and drop-off/pick-up issues. This program is held Monday to Friday. Morning hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and afternoon hours are 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional fees apply.
School Safety Patrols
St. Emile students (Grades 5-6) participate in the School Safety Patrol program. Middle Years students volunteer for the program and are responsible for the student drop off/pickup parking lot area. They are on duty from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and again between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. This is a valuable service performed by the students and it is a benefit to the school and children. There are several initiatives throughout the year to encourage participation.
Student Leadership Opportunities
Our students are encouraged to develop leadership skills and responsibility through activities such as:
- School lunch monitors
- School Safety patrol program
- A multi-grade buddy system for various school activities
- An active student council made up of students from each grade level
- Special events ambassadors (i.e. learning fair, open house, reading month, etc.)
- UNESCO / ASPnet Council
Milk Program
St. Emile is proud to offer a milk program, sponsored by the Manitoba Milk Marketing Board. Students may purchase a 250 ml carton of milk (chocolate or white) for lunch. Students who participate are eligible for periodic incentive prizes.
