- DuoLingo: create a new, FREE account and work on your French language skills! https://www.duolingo.com/learn DuoLingo can be downloaded on to your device as an app or used on a computer.
- DuoKids (more of a “game”) can only be downloaded on Apple devices but is also a great resource for all students at St. Emile.
- French for Life: games and resources for practicing your French language skills (ALL grades) http://frenchforlife.ca/students-games-and-learning-activities.cfm
- Sam Amuse: geared towards our Early Years, there are lessons and games based on Manitoba French Curriculum. https://www.samamuse.ca/index.html
- The French Experiment: a good resource for ALL St. Emile students! There are stories and lessons, all in French, but include both the French and English text translations. https://www.thefrenchexperiment.com/
- Netflix, Disney+, Crave, etc: Another unexpected but good resource is online streaming platforms. Most movies and shows have an option to change the audio to French! With that being said, please also turn on English subtitles, which allow students to hear the French while relating to the English words/practicing reading in English as well!!
